D’Juan Wilcher is deputy director of the Veteran and Military Families Program at the George W. Bush Institute, where he leads national initiatives that strengthen education, workforce development, and well-being for military veterans and their families.
Wilcher, a former naval officer who served 14 years and rose to the rank of Lieutenant Commander, has dedicated his career to service and leadership. At the Bush Institute, he convened a national policy working group that produced comprehensive recommendations to Congress to improve student veteran success, expand economic mobility, and optimize federal resources. He also spearheaded partnerships that doubled engagement in the Institute’s Check-In program, connecting thousands of veterans with timely mental health care support at no cost to the veteran.
